is Organic Farming? In stead of the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers, growth hormones, antibiotics or gene manipulation, organic farmers use natural and innovative methods to reduce impact on the environment. Organic farming doesn't just benefit better health in those who eat organic foods. It also creates healthier environments and protects animal rights. The term "organic" can be used by producers and manufacturers who are registered with one of the recognized certifying bodies. They have to meet a strict set of standards laid down by national and international law, keep through and accurate records of production processes, and submit to annual and random inspections. |
